This flavourful curry is generally made with Bangude, however, Salmon tastes great too !(specially when you are away from home and have no access to fresh Bangude).
This is a NO OIL recipe and Kajipu goes great with boiled rice and makes for a very tasty and healthy meal!

3)in the mixer jar add grated coconut (half a coconut) , garlic cloves 6-8, and tamarind the size of half a lime (you can use kokum puli if you have instead) , half spoon turmeric powder, half an onion and step number 2 (dry roasted masala) and grind to fine paste
4) in a thick bottomed pan (earthen pot imparts a special flavour) add the ground masala, a little water, the other half of onion finely chopped, ginger 1 inch finely chopped, green chilli 2 finely chopped and add salt to taste and close the lid and let it all cook
5) once the curry is simmering for 10 mins, add the fish (do not stir, once you add fish else it may break) close the lid and let it cook on slow for 5-7 mins
6) when you open the lid the fragrance will fill your home and heart 😍 and kajipu is ready to be served with boiled rice!
