Here is my go to Chinese chicken stir fry recipe when you are craving a delicious General Tso's chicken but are turned off at the thought of deep frying the chicken twice! Here is a quicker, one-pan alternative 👇🏼
1) cut 500 gms chicken into cubes add half teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon ground black pepper powder and mix well. Now add 1tablespoon soy sauce, 1 egg and mix well , let it sit for 30 minutes.
2) In a box take 3 tablespoons of corn flour, 1 tablespoon plain flour, and put the marinated chicken in the box, close the lid and shake well... Helping an even coat on all of the chicken pieces
3) shallow fry this chicken on a thick bottomed pan on either side, until crisp..and keep them aside.
4) in the same pan add 1 tablespoon oil to this add 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste and saute, add dried red chillies around 6 and saute..
5) in a bowl take 2 tablespoons brown sugar, add 1tablespoon dark soy sauce, 2 tablespoons light soy sauce, 3 tablespoons water and mix well, add this into the pan and stir well
6) in 2-3minutes the sauce gets a little thick, now add the chicken and coat it well. I have added 1 large red capsicum diced at this stage and stir fried it a long with chicken for 3-4 minutes.
7) garnish with toasted sesame seeds and fresh cilantro, and serve it with rice.
