Most of us bake cakes at home often and it is generally a delicious tea cake and we don't fuss too must over frosting it. Many of us like plain cakes better or are trying to avoid frosting as it just adds to the calories! We reserve the frosted cakes for certain occasions πŸ˜€...Here are 3 of my go to easy peasy frosting recipes πŸ‘‡πŸΌfor such occasions ❤!
Frosting number two - Buttercream frosting - this one is rich and creamy and works great on cakes and cupcakes! You will need an electric whisk for this one. Here is the recipe 1) in a bowl take 250 gms of room temperature butter and whisk until it's colour changes to white and it gets airy and light 2) now add around 3 cups of icing sugar ( confectioners sugar)  1 cup at a time and whisk until well incorporated 3) now add 2 drops of vanilla extract and 2 tablespoon of cold milk and whisk until incorporated 4) you can add colour if you wish,  but I generally avoid it unless pressured by my daughter πŸ˜€ 5) it's ready to be bagged and piped!
Final post on the frosting series coming up soon,  watch out!#keepingitsimple #justhomemade #wholesome
